You took my soul away

you took my soul away, you made me believe that everything would be okay. But it was all a lie, you made me into someone I never wanted to be, I became the girl without a soul. I had no feelings, I didn’t care. I stopped trying to fight it, I finally just gave in and let you destroy me. Why would I do such a thing? To let you make me feel like I did everything wrong? You were mr perfect and I was mrs not. You made me feel worthless, hopeless and all I kept feeling was misery, hate, sadness, and darkness. I just wanted to die. I did die because of you! I was brought back and giving another chance at life, but yet I still kept coming back to you. “What a stupid girl,” I thought. I loved you, I loved the feeling you made feel every time I was with you, but hated the feelings are the same time. You took my soul away. For that I hate you. But one thing I learned was hate for you. In time it became easier to let you go, easier to see the truth of what you really were. You were a monster. The devil was you. You took my soul, I literally felt as though I had sold my soul to you, the devil disguised in something that seemed so great in the beginning. I spent 9 years of misery wanting to die but also loving you so much I couldn’t leave, I couldn’t stop coming back to you.  Finally the end came and I was strong enough to walk away. I am strong enough to see through the bullshit and the pain you cause, not only to me but so many more. You destroyed me. I died for you, because of you! I finally had enough strength and courage to stand up and walk away from you. You brought the beast out on me, I became a whole different person. I learned how to shut my feelings off and let go and breathe. I just took a big heaping breath. I was free. You no longer have control of me anymore and though it kills me still, I know my worth today. You did teach me one thing,  to see through any lies. I will never allow you back in my life. I’m finally free. the best quote I live by “everything will be okay in the end, and if it’s not okay, it’s not the end.” It’s just the beginning.
