you used to be the

you used to be the first they could think of now you're getting hard to remember,
they haven't entirely forgotten about you but that doesn't make you feel any better,
you're not sure if there was something that eventually went wrong,
you're not on their mind anymore but at the tip of their tongue,
if it helps you will always be someone familiar,
but you'll always be a blur in their memory that'll never get clearer,
just keep on going about your day,
you've always been alone but you turned out okay,
they left you suddenly without anything to say,
don't let the pressure from your decisions become heavier than they weigh,
it's the kind of pain that you feel without a scar or a bruise,
it's the kind of pain that you feel that leaves you confused,
it may be worse than it already is but it won't last long,
this is just to remind you of what you've known all along.
