You Used To Shine
you used to
shine
your smile mends
the folds of my
heart
forever a kiss on my
cheek
your voice wraps
me
your laugh
ever so sad
ever so lovely
and that melody
my heart always
hummed.
but my heart
wrinkled up
and my cheek
ripped open
no voice
no laugh
in the loudest silence.
my heart
hums a mourning song.
