Since You Went Away

Since you went away

The days grow long

As I go through each day

I hear our old song

Since you went away

I wept in my room for a while

I still look for a way

Just to see your smile

Since you went away

I yearned for that hand I used to hold

It was that last day

Where we parted and my world was left cold

Since you went away

I continued to think about

The messed up way

I never let those word come out

Since you went away

I wanted another chance

And in probably the best way I would like to say

May I have this dance?
