YOU WERE MY FRIEND!

The need for attention, the need for support

 Giving more than putting in

Riding the relationship more than horses

Attempting to help, willing to fall

I walk away alone every day to see you running, calling my name

Nakyah this, Nakyah that, help me please

I run to follow

I’m here I’m here

Help, friend please, help

Oh, I have to go

Why when you are only going home

Nakyah I have no time

Friend it’s only right

Breaking fingers to help hurting feelings get by

Walking away tears dropping

You run away smiling

Taking advantage starts to unfold

Wonder why you heart is so cold

I can’t do this anymore friend

I can’t turn back and allow it to happen again

So long my once a upon a time great friend
