You were red and i

You were red and i was blue but together we did not make lilac.
What an ugly color we made.
I scratch your back & you scratch mine,
Right?
But our story was different than the others.
You were a brand new car and i was the hail.
Boy did i bring you hell.
I was like the serpent who slithered into eves ear,
Instead it was you my dear.
My dear, i wish we could start over and build this bond over in a different way.
Go down a whole different path,
One that you could love unconditionally and never pass.
