You were there

As I started my walk,
You were there
Along my walk, you were holding my hand
When I tripped over a bump
You were there to catch me
As everyone else chose different paths from me
You were  there walking with me
As my path got dark and I didn't know where to go
You were  there guiding me
When I couldn't continue
you were  there to encourage me
All along my long walk you was there
Now even at the end of my walk, as I put up my shoes for the last time
When I sit down for a rest and close my eyes for the last time
You are here with me holding my hand.
And when I open my eyes again, you will be there to walk with me again
This is why you ,my friend Jesus Christ, are the one thing I can't live without
