But You Wouldn't Know
I felt you.
I felt the stentch of whiskey lingering on my skin for days, but you wouldn't know.
The feeling of your nails digging into my skin
You held me down, you made me yours
And now who am I? You wouldn't know..
You hurt me. The image of your face haunts me
I can't sleep
I can't eat, but you wouldn't know.
The weight of your body is forever over me, unescapable.
I can no longer be touched. The memory of your body pressed against mine
A weight too large to overcome, but you wouldn't know.
Now here I am.
Faced with a challenge, as there is to be a little you.
How am I expected to raise the only tangeable thing to your aggression?
How am I to look it in the eyes and love it unconditionally
When all I see back are the same eyes that stole the light out of mine?
How am I to afford another life when I can barely buy Ramen Noodles?
How am I to overcome the pain you've imposed on me?
You wouldn't know.
You wouldn't know how I feel.
Because you didn't ask.
