Young and ...
They always tell me
To be
Young and crazy
before I can be
Old and wise.
But if craziness
Consists of handling things
Sloppily when I know
A better way,
I'm out.
It is against my nature to make things less elegant than they
Can be.
So I will be
Young and wise
In spite of my disappointed
Friends.
In spite of the proud
Adults.
I will be wise because
It is a
Part of me
I will be young because
I have that right
As well,
And now the only thing to
Figure out is the
Perfect melange of the
Two.
And when I find that,
I find
Myself.
