Young Aphrodite

Aphrodite was the average looking teenage girl

Yet, the beauty she obtained on the inside shined like a pearl

She was concerned that she wouldn’t have a date to the school dance

But, based on the person she was, she’d have a large chance

While everyone was glued to their phones

Aphrodite was outside appreciating the flowers all alone

A boy glanced out the window at her, he happened to be her crush

A magnetic force made their eyes meet, both felt a sudden rush

Blood rushed to their cheeks, creating a warm tone of scarlet

Aphrodite smiled and her crush’s heart was shot like a target

He felt compelled to talk to her because he knew he’d just fallen in love

He had a feeling that the beauty she possessed was equal to a goddesses' or just above
