A young boy behind his filters.

There are many filters we use to hide behind on.

The ones we rely on to hide our insecurities.

Our imperfections.

So let me tell you about a young teenager who is used to hiding behind filters.

A young emotional boy.

Who has been broken several of times.

One who paid the price for others crimes.

He expresses himself in many ways, one of those including art.

Expressing the pain of his broken heart.

Not only does he feel sorrow but joy and anger as well.

At times he has so many mixed emotions bottled up that he just needs to yell!

A peaceful, young man who can become destructive to himself in his own mind.

Whose thoughts of the past haunt him and make him clench in fear.

He knows they can't harm him anymore, so he stands up to them because he knows the fall of their reign of terror is near!

One who stands his ground on the things he believes in with strong faith.

The boy that spends most of his time in church because God is truly the only one who understands him.

He praises the Lord for the battles he faces for he knows that they will shape him up to be a better man.

This young boy happens to be me.
