Young Heartbreak

I miss kissing you with no shame

I took pride in us over your ex like a game

I focused on others, their thoughts instead of yours

Now the love is gone, and each tear heavily pours

I'm sorry for my bitterness when our love ran south

It would've ended peacefully if I'd just controlled my mouth

Now I've broken you, your heart a mosaic of pain

How will you write your life story with your biggest crush now an old flame?

You always reminded me of how you loved me forever

You kept hoping for marriage, through whatever we endeavor

But somehow we're ruined, your dream girl now a nightmare

Will you ever see me the same.. I know this pain has no compare

I know it's bittersweet, but your future promises you a treat

Your future wife will be a love for life, her love no one will beat

So I'll try to look to the future and avoid our young heartbreak

These words are my outlet of pain, guess the truth I'll have to take
