Young Love

Dear youth, what is there to say,

People love and people lose.

Left and right, macro and micro

Everyday someone loses.

Some accept the lose,

Others are left fettered down

By the pieces of their broken heart.

Young love,

Irony at best.

Youth knows little about commitment,

About comprehending their emotions.

Flowing free like the high and low tides

Youth is indecisive.

One day they’re vigorous about their bonds

And the next the envoy of demise.

When a heart breaks,

The pieces are never alike.

Either the sparks of demise or

The sparks of realization.

Young love hastily turns

Into an unruly inferno.

Satisfy the blaze or

Be left in the ashes.

Young love,

Volatile Harmony

Sincerely,

The One
