Young Soldier

Fresh out of High School, what to do? Work a job, go to college, or hang with my crew. So many choices, and not enough time. Don't laugh at me I'm trying to make this rhyme. Singed some papers, took a test. U.S Army sounded the best. Put me on a silver jet. Thats the ride I wont forget. Bags all packed, ready to go. Already missing family, friends, and home. I'm doing this for some many reasons right now. Small town, with no way out. My time has come, I'm finally here. Basic Training, felt like it took years. Yelling, push ups, and a lot of bullshit. Oh well, I wont quit. Left, Left, Left, Right, Left. The guy in front of me wont get in step. After weeks of all that training, I made it through. Graduated and back home... now what do I do? Go to college, get a job, and maybe get married. Doing whatever it takes, not to get buried.
