Young Souls

To nurture your minds and adore your thoughts would be my everyday

To listen, teach and guide you in every single way

To learn from your young souls more than you learn from mine

I'll teach you the rainbow and how to walk in line

To play with you at recess, hopscotch on the ground

To simply love when books are scattered all around

I'll encourage you to dance when the music doesn't play

To see the baby blue when the sky is dusty gray

I'll be someone to talk to if you're feeling all alone

I'll look out for each of you as if you were my own

I can't wait for the day to finally be here

When I walk into my classroom and say "This is my career."
