The Young Struggle

Walking around school with the big stomach

Thinking how seven months ago I thought it could

never happen to me

I'm to pretty to classy

That just to trashy for me

Rushing my way to the toilet, throwing up all my

dreams and goals for now, I'll have

to catch up somewhere down the road

Only sixteen, going from baby girl to baby momma

Wishing I could somehow go under cover.

Now look at me, the outcome of not using

common sense

Didn't think because I was caught up in all the suspense

Listening to his sweet nothings ended

me up to this

I feel so alone

The girl that had the baby in high school

is now how I'm known

They look down on me, saying

how I messed up my life

My friends parents don't let them come

over anymore, because

I'm the pregnant girl

The one that crushed her perfect little world

It's funny…I thought it could never

be me.

I'm to pretty to class

That's just to trashy for me

No attention is paid to the boy who made

this little girl a mother

He some how just disappeared

He went under cover

One more month until we begin this eighteen year struggle.
