A little less

dogmatism,

and more

conversation,

a bit of

thought provocation

instead of

rote repetition of words,

a little true love

of education

and a stronger goal

of your teaching

please.

Some encouragement,

o teacher,

would be nice

once in a while,

for no one,

that I know at least,

enjoys being

arrogantly

misunderstood

when the teacher does not try

all for his

damned complacency

and

constant

expression of

dogmatism

and closed-mindedness

to open thought

to others' opinions

to others' research

to assignments

to answers on tests

to presentations.

Perhaps a complacent teacher,

yea, e'en a complacent person,

cannot be swayed,

but I can try,

yes I can try,

for you will ne'er hear

(because you never lend ear)

so why should I keep

my opinions

all locked up

when they are only expressed

for the improvement

and for the sake

of education?

But I can see,

as all should be able,

that education is not

perhaps

anywhere close

to the top

of this one teacher's

priority list.
