In Your Arms

Gazing into the distance as the sun slips behind the green Leaves rustling the warm winds plays in my hair Surrounded by the lakes’ gentle caress Still waters interrupted by a pebble’s game Forever, unending ripples a continuous circle Of ups and downs smiles and frowns Skies as pure as the thoughts rendered Ticks and tocks left behind in the chaos Stamping the moment in my spirit Creatures of the air sing of sweet bliss Lulling me into a place of peace Blink now I’m lost in the disorder Caught up in the treadmill of life Clouds cover thoughts darken Ripples swell to ominous waves Threatening rumbles drown out all serene Gust push and tug me back Until I fall landing in your arms And the lake returns to me for the instance
