Your choice
Sometimes
Life seems like a cage
a trap for those pf pure heart
and sparkling soul, a captured bird,
locked,
feathers rustling, singing a song
once clear and full of color
now melancholy and remorseful
remembering a time
when it's life had exceeded
an 8x4 cell
But other times
Life seems like an unwritten novel
Changed to fit the author's fancy
every day a
chance
full of laughter and ecstasy
love and pain
sickness and vitality
a cornucopia of the best things
Life
has to offer
like just staring at the
puffy white clouds, sunbeams showering
kisses over my body,
and dozing to sleep.
