Y(OUR) DEPICTED FUTURE

As if not to speak,

as if not to breathe.

You babbled on explaining,

a life of your own to share.

If you don't feel it,

it's simply not there.

Never pausing in reflection,

on what might just be an apparition.

In telling me what you planned,

asked not were my opinions.

Thinking nothing feels off,

is exactly why you can’t possibly know me.

You may think of me in essence,

like the night wonders about the day.

I simply must ask you to ask of me,

and toughen through my thoughts.

For now I will continue to hold out silent,

showing I do really care.

But in your depicted future,

I cannot be there.
