Your dream was my nightmare

  •
  • I go to the gym every day, just to improve my image
But I'll never be perfect, there is always a blemish
There are just some things, that aren’t meant to be
    Like you and me

A man said “forget love I’m tired of tryin”
But I guess its like a drug, you just got to try it
You don’t know much when you take it, then you get queasy
A tedious relationship is just not so easy

I guess that what happens when people start to grow
Always arguing about pettiness, I cannot forgo
I guess its my fault, I could have kept it going,
But my once bright personality simply isn’t glowing
Not only that, my true self wasn’t showing
My once great happiness just wasn’t growing

I always loved you, together because of fate
But you turned me into something that really wasn’t great
Playing off my anger and insecurity,
Led me to a place with no serenity
And what can you say, that you really love me
Then show me the love, in a way I like to see
Not by screaming at guys, or try to impress me with your physique,
But an I love you and a kiss on the cheek

I was not me around you, and you didn’t seem to care
As long as you were happy, and knew I was right there
I always told you that you are too worried about yourself
You lost that personality that used to make my heart melt

That’s why I have to say, we cannot be together
Because I cannot submit, to being unhappy forever

I’m doing something for me, just this one time
To give me the chance to find a guy that I want to be mine

Not because of looks, or wealth
Because I appreciate him, and he appreciates me
You ruined something great, now maybe you can see
That your dream was my nightmare; it was called you and me.
