Your ephemeral existence

I loved you, and I left you

you loved me, but still you left me

deserted, naked, and emotionally stripped.

I claw at my heart for that night; long for that night

if ever I could take it back, you'd still be here

in my memory you'll never die

an existence of an animal, so beautiful and rare

you are the epiphany everyone experiences, that beautiful realization.

You left me deserted, naked, and emotionally stripped

So if I claw at my heart for that night; long for that night please forgive me

Because you know that if ever I could take it back, you'd still be here.
