your everything


your eyes are green like the grass that grows in the fields, 

or maybe a deeper blue than the ocean waves that crash on the shore.

i am not sure, for i only pay attention to their sparkle. 

but your hair, brown, yes brown.

brown like the bark on the tall oak trees.

your lips, pinker than the prettiest peony.

your skin tan, like the rocks that sit at the bottom of a waterfall.

and i may not forget, your mind,

your mind is sharper than the thorns on the stem of a rose.
