In Your Eyes

I used to see beauty in your eyes

So I'll stare into them unitl this feeling dies.

Leave me broken.

They say that the feelings of your heart never lie.

They say that this life is not for goodbyes.

Leave my words unspoken.

All the things that you've taken from me

My heart, my life, and my memories

Just throw it to the wolves

Just leave me in distress

And all this time I just couldn't see.

The evil in your eyes that lied to me.

They were the color of God

that perfect crystal blue.

But form the beginning I always knew

That you would kill me every chance you got.

Now you say this is not what you wanted,

But intentions are irrelevant

I only believe you hurt me just for the hell of it.

This part of my life has come to an end.

No heart, no home, and I've lost my best friend.

You were the one and only friend I would turn to.

So was it such a shock that I fell in love with you?

Had I known that I was so repulsive I would have held my tongue,

And maybe love wouldn't have gripped me when I was young.

Love gripped me none the less.

It left this hole inside my chest.

Because now you're gone just like the rest.

I gave you my everything,

I gave you my best.

Yet this was how you repaid me.

The war within me rages on and on.

The part of me that wants revenge is so strong.

On the other side the real me always forgives.

No matter how hard it is to live.

So I'll forgive you and never let this sin

Be added to the list of all the times I gave in.

I just need to breathe like I always have before.

In and out without a thought in the world.

It will refresh my lungs, and make me feel alive.

So thank you for all the pain you caused me.

I live to learn, to forgive, and fight till the day I die.
