Your Eyes

Through your eyes

Life seemed to lullabied by blue skies

Pretty flowers bloomed by the roadside

Long drives, the road ahead lit by the moonlight

Heart racing the spedometer barely making the red light

Through your eyes

Yesterday is gone, drowned by the sunrise

Sitting while sipping black coffee by the lakeside

Fresh fruit neatly organized by an egg white

The birds chirping ready to take flight

Through your eyes

Time only moves clockwise

Regrets, fears, and pain lay bedside

Death is nearing, there is no time to overwrite

Skin pale and a slowed heart beat means it is time to say goodnight
