Your Friend Ms. Dolly

I was born to be happy Stuffed with a heart and the compassion Wearing the latest fashion A smile to show my beauty Nobody wants me Till you choose me I’m your special girl That does more than just twirl You see my beauty even when I don’t We hang out almost everyday Talk all the time even play Those were the good old days Filled with fun, laughs, and smiles Now you’ve left me on the dial Set me back in your closet To collect the emptiness while we grow apart Like my age, I miss the good old days The every lasting fun, those ways? I see myself several walls from you As you forget about me, our fun, my blues I wish you could see me cry You’ve abandoned your girl without a proper good bye She sits miserably to herself in that closet For some reason you never bother it Are you pushing me away? Does it have to be this way? You act like our days as good friends were a figment of my imagination Though reality has turned that into a feeling so tragic. I sit lonely in this closet, a distance I know I’m in the back of your mind, just wishing I don’t want to cry I don’t have to have you as that kind But please think of who you’re hurting From your old special girl, your friend Ms. Dolly
