Your Honor
I stood at the stand
Heart covered by my right hand
My first opening argument as a mock lawyer
I stood tall and stiff, just like Tom Sawyer
I opened my mouth
But no words came about
I stuttered and whiffed
I lost it all in a jiff
The court case I lost
my glasses covered in frost
From the tears in my eyes
I realized those lies
My parents told me about
My skills of casting doubt
My head spilled hot as a boiler
I stood up and proclaimed,
"Your Honor I Do NOT want want to be a lawyer!"
I ripped off my suit and picked up a camera
Film was my passion ,but law? I didn't have the stamina.
