The race we run roils with rigor
Journeying to a peak of revival
Tumbling down a tube of trauma

Crash into the valley
Climbing back out
The clouds unveiling the face of the moon
With luminous fairy eyes
Casting her silver glow on the jagged spires of stone behind
Illuminating the mountain you could not see before

Take her wings
You're not done yet
Stumble over roots
You're not done yet
Scrape your knees
You're not done yet
Take her hand
You're not done yet
Listen to her soft words
You're not done yet
Feel soft down on her back
You're not done yet

Touch the peak with your calloused feet
You were not done yet
The moon morphs into the sun
You were not done yet
Sunrise paints her colors
You were not done yet
The world extends as far as the sky
