Your Journey to find Yourself

Dreaming of tomorrow

Trying to love through the sorrow

When will I be normal again?

Is loneliness my best friend?

Darkness all around

Don’t know which way is up and whats down

Is this a journey worth taking?

Finding yourself is so hard

Realizing you were lost

What did it cost?

Are you ready for your journey to find yourself?

Lonely nights and painful days

Not knowing what is to come in the latter days

Knowing things will get better

But never understand

Why you had to fall and not just land

On the clouds of your best dreams

Realizing they are your nightmares.

Bitter cold and blackest of hearts

What will it take to finally start

This journey of self-worth

And learning to put yourself first

Only to realize it is a journey that may end

With you saying goodbye.

Troubled past that seemed to last

Through a billion forevers never ceasing only existing

In the shallow cold shell of what once was your soul.

Is the dark ever gonna leave

Am I ever going to find me?

See me the way others do?

Or be stuck in a façade of being someone untrue

Leaving this reality will be easier once I find the light

But this journey is only beginning and right now

Its dark as night

In my emotions and feelings never wanting just dreaming

Of a reality that was easier

But again a façade of what really is!

Journeys worth taking are never easy

Just worth the wait

So until now I guess I will

Wait for the light to come and lift me out

Of this sorrowful journey and this deafening silence

Of my own reality!!!!!
