Your Knight
I’ll be your knight in shining armor
So please don’t go away
I will love and protect you
For as long as you shall live.
Though my armor may be dull
And my body not as strong
I will lay down my life
My soul,
My being,
My all,
For you,
My love
So that you may love me as I love you.
We are not perfect
(You and I both)
You with your temper,
I with my strength.
I flaunt my faults and oddities proudly
And relish yours with mine.
Together we could be perfect
(You and I both)
For one and one makes one.
Imperfection and imperfection make perfection.
I may not be strong
I may not be swift.
My sword may not be the sharpest
And my arrows not the straightest.
But, my love, I swear upon the highest truth
My will power does not fail
My mind is quick.
My hands will never hurt you
And my love for you will never end.
So I will be your knight in the dull armor
So please look this way.
I will love you, and I will protect you
For as long as I may live.
I will be there for you
My love
And although you may not see it
Hear it
Notice it
Notice me
I will be there
For my love for you is strong
Although my blade is not
And one day
I wish that you may love me
As I love you.
