Your last breaths
One minute you were here
smiling and laughing
One minute you were here
Telling jokes and messing around
One minute you were here
Smoking cigarettes and enjoying life
One minute you were here
Happy. Healthy. Alive...
The next minutes were different
Cancer crept up like a bird to its prey
One minute you were here
trying to keep fighting
One minute you were here
you couldn't eat much
One minute you were here
to weak to hold yourself up
One minute you were here
you needed an oxegyn tank to breathe
One minute you were here
Family surrounding your bed
One minute you were here
but my mom made me leave
The next minute you weren't here anymore
fifteen minutes after we left you took your last breaths
I miss you uncle Carty rest in peace. It's been almost eight years since I've got to see your face. I love you
