Your Life

You think you’re the only one going through this shit Well there’s one to many others Look at me Look in my eyes I’ve seen your pain I’ve felt the same disgrace I watched my mother suffer And cave I watched my father flame I watched and I tried to innocently be brave Don’t block me out Because I don’t know how it feels To live a broken life Wishing your reality wasn’t real I know damn right what it’s like To try so hard not to hide To try so hard to make this life right Maybe if I change the world I will have meaning to life But hun that effort won’t change what stills lingers in the back of your mind You can help a one you can help a million But until you help yourself It’s not your life Yes Live for others But also live YOUR life
