Your Little Circus Act

I see your soul is balancing on a tightrope,

the rope could transform into a noose at any second.

I could be watching you swing from the pillars.

If that was the case my heart would leap from my chest in order to catch you.

I’m trying to be the safety net below the tightrope.

I can’t stand in the audience gasping at your circus act,

I need to be the ringmaster

Guiding you through the hoops life is setting up for you.

I need to be a clown with a painted smile to cheer you up,

Because I know you’re becoming unsteady on that tightrope.

Your emotions are scattered like peanut shells in a circus tent.

So please be like cotton candy in the rain and melt into my arms.

Let this safety net catch you.
