Your Love

Because I love you, I tear down my walls

I let you see me, the real me.

I forget about those wounds left from the past

And only see you.

You wrap me around in a blanket of your warmth,

And I feel that I am safe from the world.

I feel a wave of peace at the mention of your name,

Knowing that you will never bring the pain I had before

And that I will never let that pain come to me again.

You have taught me how to overcome mistakes,

And have molded me into the person I am.

Because I love you, I will never cower to the past.
