Your Mind Is Powerful

Everyone has a voice, but not everyone gets to speak.
I've learned to be heard, you can't be weak.
Try to understand, look at things from a different view,
Listen to others, and let the mind brew
Don't be afraid, you'll be fine
Follow your heart, and you will shine.
My whole life I grew up not being able to be understood,
My feelings never mattered to anyone and I wish they would,
It was as if I didn't even exist,
Is there something that I missed?
People had  always doubted me,
Even my mother, If only they could see.
I do have a plan,
And I know I can.
I am a middle child,
It's not easy, It's wild.
It made me learn to do things on my own,
It made me realize what it's like being grown.
You can't live your life depending on others,
Not even your sisters or your brothers.
As you get older, things aren't always as they seem,
You have to work hard to pursue your dream.
You mustn't be afraid of what others will think about what you say or do,
You know you can do anything you put your mind to.
