Your name in the sky
la la la
looking up at the sky
I still see it there
your name written with the stars
I count to ten
close my eyes
cover my ears
before the melody commences to play
your love was sweeter than any song
more truer than honest reform
I counted upon it, my joys
so where did it all go?
sometime, not too long ago
you were by side
hands intertwined with mine
you would gaze into my eyes
say I love you
and I could tell
that
it was not a lie
our hearts beated as one
yet mine has lost the rthym
because you're not here to soothe my soul
from my daily chronic worrying
will the sun shine as bright
as it had yesterday morning?
will I be remembered, for all the good deeds I've done?
you'd unfurrow my brow with a gentle touch of your finger
lay a soft kiss on me
tell me that things will all be well
I used to see my name next to yours
up in this here sky
so the reason I cry
is that I see it no longer....
