Your Orbit

The bright star in the sky Is the one that caught my eye. It was so bright and warm I had to get close I knew that it wanted me the most When I got close enough to be in its orbit. From that day I was close to the most wonderful star Sure I may have had some scars But this was a star full of love, It was a gift from somewhere above I must protect my star. Years have passed and everything has been great Some meteors in our wake But our orbit is strong And we know we belong. They say time heals all wounds. I start to notice that my star is trying to fade I do everything I can to aid. My star's light is there but not as warm and bright It is a fright. Oh if only I can take away your darkness. I know as time passes the light will be bright again I promise to stay in your orbit But will you be willing to wait for this to happen?
