For your own good

To the world, I'm just another bad guy

Who left you in the dark and made you cry

But to you, I was a guy who promised you the world

And gave you everything you wanted all at once

What we had before was indeed amazing

But as years passed by, my feelings started fading

I wanted to ignore all of the signs

Just so you'd always be mine

Because with me, you found every reason to chill

But with you, I found every reason to leave

So never say that I never loved you with all my life

Because I did once but my heart refused to love you twice

I'm sorry for breaking your heart mi armor

But I had to confront my feelings and not run

I know that you're filled with sadness

But soon you will find happiness

Thank you for coming into my life

And giving me all your love and time

I know that with time you'll heal

And someone will once again make you feel

A love that you deserve

And a love you'll never forget

In the meantime, I'll work on being me

As well as some of my insecurites

Although breaking up with you

Was really hard to do

I never regretted it

Because it finally set you and I free

Of a love I could no longer give
