Your Paradise

Your Paradise

There is a monster in your paradise,

I hear its velvet steps,

It walks on midnight and drinks the twilight,

And heralds souls who find no rest,

I feel a darkness in your paradise,

It surrounds the blinking stars,

It hears every whispered, broken song,

And winds into their hearts.

I see an evil in your paradise,

That comes in a laughing abyss,

With its mask of joy, the serpent springs,

Its target never missed.

There is a monster in your paradise,

With a face of ice and fire fell,

It’s web of scales in the dark of the moon,

Your paradise is my hell.
