Your River

Panic washes over me

As I submerge under your words

“Weak” enters my nose

And infects my anxious brain

“Ignorant” floats around my flailing body

as I grasp for  the open air

“Nothing” burns as it travels down my throat

And fills my once oxygen filled lungs

It takes hold of my limbs

paralyzing my now lifeless body

Your mouth created this river

The river that held me down

Your mouth was supposed

To hold me close

But it was the one

That made me drown.
