By Your Side

I have watched you rise,

I have watched you fall.

I have watched you gain more

than you can handle, and I

have watched you lose it all.

I have stuck by you because

my heart raised its voice to

me.

I stayed because money and

material items aren't as important

as the love that flows deep inside

of me.

I vowed on our day of marriage

to stick by you till the end.

I vowed to pick you up when you

are down.

So I say with open arms, baby here

I am.
