Your Stars
I write for the words left unspoken
For those who cannot speak,
Like you.
And those who can,
Like me.
In words left lying,
Without fear.
These words, they live in you.
Like the dust settling
Out on the open plain,
They are beautiful.
You are beautiful.
To take an emotion,
And put words to it.
Your emotions.
To comfort those,
Those who feel lost.
I am lost.
To take the light,
Gleaming off the dust
And to turn it
Into stars.
Your stars.
I write because I cannot do anything else.
I write because I want to help.
I write because you don’t need help.
I write because you are you
And I am I
And I can do nothing else.
