Your Stupid Tulips

I planted my flower in you hoping of growing a future more promising than my dreams alone.

Instead of watering my precious rose, you buried it and replaced it with tulips.

Yet, my roots still lay deep inside your flower bed.

My rose will rise and you will envy how beautiful my petals are.

You will even miss my thorns, because they were your touch on my body.

The touch that always pained me, but never wilted me.

Even now, my petals still blossom, but you will never replace my beauty in the tulips you water today.
