Your Untamed Fate

Dear Jason,

You were born from the angry waves of the ocean

The white froth shrouded by the darkness of the night

Only lit by the northern stars amongst the clouds

Showing the way, you followed, knowing no alternative

Dark shadows the palm trees casted overhead

And although there was no sun, you acknowledged those who basked in the light

You placed one foot in front of the other while the stars tell you stories

They say you are destined for greatness, chosen by Fate herself

They kept you company throughout your journey as you uttered not a single word

The only light you knew was them

You searched and searched knowing not your purpose or what you were searching for

You faced dragons, trolls, giants, disguised as familiar faces

Broken battered and bruised

Your great adventure turned into a nightmare

False prophets, desparate beliefs and unrequited faith

You met the sun

Bright and warm, it showed you the unknown, revealing all that was beside you

You stopped searching

For now you can bask in the light just as others had done before you
