Your Words

Your words cut so deep

They always make me weep

You always hit where it hurts the most

Now I am nothing but a ghost

I'm not who I once was

Through my head your words buzz

There is no way out

I know this without a doubt

I don't know who I'm supposed to be

I can't get out of my head your story

I try not to cry

But I can't fight your lie

You force me to hide

By crushing who I was on the inside

I give up, you have won

Your evil deed is done

I hope that you are proud

I wear my shame like a heavy shroud

I know I should carry on

But I'm too far gone
