Your World

Just a little something I wrote a while ago, so it's probably pretty rough

and it may not make any sense to some, but maybe it will to someone else out there;

Everybody always says

'I wouldn't change you for the world,'

Well, I wouldn't say that's true,

If it were up to me, I would if I could.

And here's just what I'd do.

Well first thing,

I'd get rid of your scars, your hurt, and shame.

I'd make it so you can finally see your not to blame.

I'd make it so the version of you, you see in the mirrors,

is not the version in your head, but the version of you I see.

The version who has that flawlessly colored hair,

hair that was always prettier than mine.

I would make it so you could see how perfect you really are.

And I make it so you wouldn't just be feeling fine,

Just scraping by,

but feeling better, feeling actually great.

Then next thing I would do would be to make it easier for you to laugh,

so you could do it everyday.

I'd make it a little easier for you to cry, even though it seems absurd.

But everyone needs a good cry, especially someone who hasn't cried in a while.

And you don't cry that often, or at least I heard.

I'd make it easier for you to get out of your head,

because I love hearing your voice.

Then, I'd make it so nothing anyone said or did could ever hurt you.

And I'd make it so you could achieve all of your dreams,

even if I couldn't achieve all of mine, that's still what I would do.

Finally I woudl make it so no matter what,

you'd always remmeber that you're wanted, needed, seen.

Or, at least by me.

So yes, if I could I would take away all of your pain, even if it breaks me.

But since I cannot change you for the world, outside of this fantasy one of mine,

I'll have to do something much harder, something that takes much more time.

If I cannot change you for this world,

I will go out into this world of ours,

and change it all for you.

Have a rest of your Good Day/Night! Thank you for reading!
