Your Young Love
For all of you girls with broken hearts,
Whether or not it is one I did cause.
I want you to remember that one love is not the last love,
But that young love is the true love.
Young love is new love and old love.
That young love starts and does not stop.
Young love is what makes us who we are today, and who we were yesterday.
Young love let’s us tell ourselves what we will be or will not be.
It is young love that can always be found
When you are sneaking around,
Or when you are letting it show.
It is young love that sets you free,
And young love that lets you be.
It is one love;
But also more.
It's young love that opens doors.
It's young love that grows or fades,
And always stays.
Because young love will always be on your mind;
For young love is not just one love--it's all of the above.
It is the young love that lets you know,
And the one love you let go.
You may find that one love was better than the other, but you are wrong.
For all love is young love;
Whether you are young and in love, or old and still loving.
Each day brings young love to life,
And each night it's young love that ignites
In fiery passion or simple hugs.
It's young love that's tried and retried,
And it never gets old.
Though you may age and grow older,
Your young love will never wither.
Nor will it stop and drop on the head of a dime.
Unless of course you meet your love there,
And you catch him or her, or her or him with a stare.
Then you will realize it's your young love that truly moves time.
