You're My Reason For Being Happy
When they handed you to me, I could barely see.
Your tiny heart was pacing, and mine started racing.
Our world was never perfect, but your happiness made the struggles worth it.
In the beginning of everyday, your smile leads my way.
At every bedtime story when we snuggle, I can feel your love wash away all troubles.
Every day you get taller and smarter, and it only fuels my fire to work harder.
You, my son, are my light in dark places, the reason why towards my dreams I am racing.
To carry us both up high, I love you more than there are stars in the sky.
So any bad thoughts I have, I toss 'em, because every moment with you makes my life awesome possum!
