your(e) new vine ode
*rearranging things and furniture always helped me feel better.
** i won’t forget your name
*** it is you. i’m sorry you can’t see that yet.
there are parts of you that you haven’t seen
rooms and locked doors you've never entered
and i understand that you might not want to open them up
sometimes you won’t open up. but i know what's inside. and i still care. I won’t leave you.
my love for you is a mountain top, and i don’t feel like i should explain that.
maybe you don’t understand what i mean, but that’s okay.
you’re the pond behind my old house
i'm dirt trying to hold you up.
people don’t really know how heavy water can be.
but i am in a place where i can realize this now, your eyes are like the sun.
i'm everything that is alive because of you. i'm not scared to look at you.
let my eyes burn out and leave me empty inside. let them become gorry holes in my head
i am not scared of getting hurt by the brightest sides of you.
sometimes you eclipse and it’s ok because i am already used to the bright.
i'm not afraid of the dark.
i'm not scared of getting burnt.
so look at me and be honest. i'm not scared of you.
my love for you is black ice on the road to destruction.
my love for you is fields of strawberries.
my love for you is the sound of electric guitar like the kinds you listen to. real.
owen my love is hard and it's stronger than the hurricanes you've endured.
don’t be scared of the knocking at your door. i won’t let them dress in black anymore.
