You're not the determination of my self worth

You're not the determination of myself worth

I have a voice,

We have a voice in which needs to be heard

that has value

that needs to be deemed JUST as important

& that matters too.

I have an opinion that should not be shut down,

We should be just as valid,

no matter my skin color

Our sexual orientation

Our religion

Our beliefs

& especially OUR gender.

I deserve respect

We aren't asking for it

based on how we dress,

who we associate with

and how we "come off" as.

No one determines our worth based on what they see

what they hear

& what they witness

My opinion matters

OUR voice needs to be heard

and my respect should be valued.

No matter the instance,

YOU

do not determine if I am important
